TACLOBAN CITY — President Rodrigo Duterte visited government’s permanent housing project for Typhoon Yolanda survivors here promising to relocate displaced families by March this year.
The government has relocated more than 800 families in less than a month after President Rodrigo Duterte ordered providing Typhoon Yolanda-affected families decent homes, a Palace official said.
Two hundred eighty families received an early Christmas gift yesterday as Presidential Assistant for the Visayas Michael Dino led the completion of all Yolanda resettlement sites so that typhoon victims could be transferred before Christmas.
President Rordrigo Roa Duterte on Tuesday, November 8, ordered government agencies to speed up rehabilitation projects in Tacloban City, which was severely damaged by supertyphoon ‘Yolanda’ three years ago.
The Duterte administration is exerting efforts in preparing and providing speedy delivery of aids and distribution of employment shelter assistance to victims of calamities, a top Malacañang official said.
