BULACAN — President Rodrigo Roa Duterte on Monday, December 10, spearheaded the initial awarding of 500 housing units of the Scout Ranger Ville Housing Project at Barangay Calumpang and Barangay Tartaro-Sibul in the town of San Miguel.
“Owning a house has always been a dream of every Filipino. I urge every beneficiary of this housing program to take good care of these units,” President Duterte said in his remarks.
“May this project further inspire you to serve your nation, deepen your patriotism, and foster your sense of family and community,” he added.
Before his speech, President Duterte inspected one of the model units and expressed that he is “very satisfied” with the finished outcome.
Each housing unit, classified as duplex type, has a lot size of 150 square meters (10 x15 meters) and is provided with individual plumbing, individual power connection, and reinforced concrete drainage pipes.
The Chief Executive narrated that in order to acquire a housing unit, the Scout Rangers would need to pay P844, 000.00, with a monthly payment of only P4000.00.
The Scout Ranger Ville Housing Project is just one of the housing projects of the new AFP-PNP Housing Program of the National Housing Authority under the Duterte administration.
Call for a peaceful 2019 election
Meanwhile, the Chief Executive reinforced his call for a peaceful election, reminding both the military and police to be apolitical.
“I would like to remind everybody in government, everybody…. lalo na ang Armed Forces pati pulis, do not take sides! Either for or against my party, huwag kayong makialam.” he said.
“Huwag kayong magkampanya, and do not favor any candidate whatsoever. That is the mandate of the Constitution, and we will stick by it,” he continued.
The Commander-in-Chief then called on to all the candidates in the entire country from Jolo to Abra, he emphasized that he would not tolerate anyone, even his coworkers in government, from the same party or not, to “terrorize,” “intimidate,” and “create fear to voters.”
“Do it some other time but not here. Do not ever, ever terrorize or harass a Filipino voter. Hayaan mo ang tao kung sino ang piliin nila,” he emphasized.### PND
